architect and Designer Viggo Boesen The Little Petra Lounge Chair was first presented in 1938 at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers Guild Exhibition. Further international exhibitions and awards followed, even though only 30 pieces were produced at the time. Despite its compact size, the Little Petra impresses with its unique shape. Like a negative mold, the backrest of the Little Petra Lounge Chair mirrors the anatomical silhouette of the sitter. Thanks to this cradling effect, the Little Petra Lounge Chair feels exceptionally comfortable and cozy, easily outshining large, bulky wingback chairs. The sheepskin-covered version, in particular, reinforces this impression and is distinguished by its special qualities. Firstly, genuine sheepskin is especially robust and durable. Secondly, the sheepskin-covered Little Petra is characterized by its moisture-regulating and insulating properties, making it snug, warm, and inviting.
Low to the ground, open and embracing, the Little Petra embodies the essence of a lounge chair, allowing for all kinds of seating positions in any conceivable setting: lobby, lounge, living room, club, study, nursing room, children's room, bedroom, hallway, office.
