&Tradition
Classics and modernity

Designer such as Victor Vetterlein, Sofie Refer and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen. Modern materials and production processes are used.
Craftsmanship meets contemporary design
"Craftsmanship meets art. Function meets form. Material meets potential. That is Nordic tradition. And that is our heritage, which we cherish and preserve," is how Martin Hansen describes the philosophy of his company &tradition (formerly Unique Copenhagen), which aims to combine craftsmanship with contemporary design.
Scandinavian interior design
Metal, wood, porcelain, black, white and natural tones, plus brightly colored details - this design concept characterizes the lighting and furniture from &tradition and reflects an important style: Scandinavian interior design. The Danish furniture and lighting manufacturer &tradition consistently implements this style like no other.
Tradition as part of identity
Even if international designs are now being realized, for example by London-based designer Benjamin Hubert, the roots are always in the Nordic tradition. "Tradition is part of identity," says Martin Kornbek Hansen from &tradition. Thus, design classics such as the Flowerpot luminaire family and the Topan pendant lights by Danish design great Verner Panton or the Bellevue lamp by Arne Jacobsen form the pillars of the &tradition collection.
Reshape, redefine and change
While the principles of quality are and remain timeless, design and production possibilities are constantly evolving. The Danish company &tradition wants to reshape, redefine and change, using new materials, applying new techniques and breaking new ground in production. According to Hansen, &tradition values short distances and manufactures mainly in its home country of Denmark. "Craftsmanship meets art. Function meets form. Material meets potential. That is Nordic tradition. And that is our heritage, which we want to cherish and preserve."
