Author Bianca Killmann
Bianca Killmann, Magister Artium, studied German, French and computer linguistics and worked as a trainee at Motor Presse Stuttgart. After working for Specialized, where she was responsible for PR, sponsorship and events for the American bicycle manufacturer for the European market, and in the health and nutrition department of Men's Health magazine, the former professional sportswoman became a freelance author focusing on design, food and sport.
World stage and vest pocket
As a child of the "coal patch", Killmann returned from the world stage after years of education and professional wanderings to the Ruhr region, which she knows like the back of her hand and appreciates for its cultural and culinary diversity.
Excellent books
Two of her cookbooks have won the German Cookbook Award and the World Cookbook Award. The authenticity of her work is appreciated in the international sports scene, for which Killmann works as a ghost writer. In addition, the Germanist has made a name for herself with biographies of renowned DesignerEttore Sottsass Junior, Ingo Maurer, Archrizoom, Studio DDL, Joe Colombo, Antoni Gaudi, Gae Aulenti, Archille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and others, as well as the painter Salvador Dalí and her designs.
Killmann lives and works in Essen and Biarritz.
