Barboy meets Moët & Chandon

The Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2002, the first Grand Vintage to be aged for seven years since 1930, was launched at the height of its maturity. Moët & Chandon's tradition is a five-year ageing process; the law stipulates a minimum of three years. To celebrate this outstanding vintage, Moët & Chandon has created a limited edition of Verner Panton's Barboy mobile container. The luxurious mobile bar is equipped with a bottle of Grand Vintage 2002 as well as two exceptional older wines from the Grand Vintage Collection, Grand Vintage Collection 1992 and Grand Vintage Collection 1982.

Vertical tasting

The opportunity to taste these fine wines together is a unique and exceptional experience that is rarely possible outside the historic cellars of Moët & Chandon. These wines are characterized as "harmonious". They are characterized by their maturity, the uniformity of their readings and the harmony of their flavours and each other, an ideal combination for a vertical tasting.

The Grand Vintage Barboy

The cylindrical Barboy combines mobility, practicality and compactness. It has castors and the lower compartment reveals three Grand Vintage champagnes and a luxury champagne cooler that chills a bottle to ten degrees Celsius within 15 minutes. The middle compartment contains four Grand Vintage flutes specially designed by Riedel - the industry-leading developer of innovative wine glasses - to highlight the special characteristics - maturity, complexity and assertive personality - of these fine sparkling wines. The upper compartment is designed for additional accessories such as napkins or crackers, while the top element of the barboy can be used as a storage surface. This elegant mini bar combines all the requirements for the ultimate enjoyment of Moët & Chandon.

Exclusive interior design

The Verner Panton Barboy, first launched in 1963, is the epitome of 20th century design. This unique version of the Barboy, created for Moët & Chandon, is considered one of the most unusual pieces of interior design of the last 50 years. The black lacquer finish was complemented by a caramel-colored leather interior.

The luxurious Moët & Chandon Barboy is filled with a bottle of Grand Vintage 2002, a bottle of Grand Vintage Collection 1992 and the Grand Vintage Collection 1982.
