Artifact of modernism
For Casa Calvet designed Antoni Gaudí a selection of tables, chairs - with and without armrests, benches, stools, shelves, mirrors and paintings. The furnishings for Casa Calvet are undoubtedly the largest and most homogeneous collection of furniture designed by Antoni Gaudí during his lifetime. Casa Calvet is Gaudí's first ever fully realized residential building. It is located in Barcelona and was awarded the prize for the best building in the city in 1900. The Calvet Stool and other furniture from the Calvet collection are still on display today in the Gaudí Museum in Parc Güell in Barcelona and are admired by around two million visitors every year. They are unique artifacts from this grand master of Modernisme.
Historical craftsmanship
