Tappeto Cielo carpet

Polka dots, checks and diagonal stripes

Cielo is one of three carpets based on the iconic Farfalla-Patterns of the Design Group Archizoom in the style of Radical Design. Centro Studi Poltronova revives the splendor and grandeur of Italian designs from the 1960s in collaboration with CC-Tapis. The legendary pattern creates an avant-garde contrast between floral Art Nouveau designs and the experimental Pop Art of those years. The carpets Farfalla, Prato and Cielo extracts of the main components of the original pattern, namely a butterfly, over a meadow under the sky. The carpets are characterized by an expressionistic explosion of primary colors and simple, geometric shapes, which are filled in with graphic elements such as polka dots, checks and diagonal stripes - typical of works by artists such as Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.

Creativity and inspiration

Cielo by Poltronova is a true work of art that combines design history with the demands of modern interior design. As the shape of Cielo is flowing and neither round nor angular, the rug complies with the principles of Feng Shui. According to these principles, natural materials such as wool and curved shapes emphasize hard materials and angular shapes such as tables, cabinets and the like. Blue has a calming and cooling effect and is suitable for rooms with a lot of heat as well as rooms in which creativity and inspiration are to be encouraged, such as home offices and offices.

Combination of texture and color

The dominant color in Cielo is a royal blue, which is broken up by abstract stars and a hint of the Milky Way. The irregularly curved edge of the carpet is decorated with Black accentuated. The rug is hand-tufted in India. In this way, the unique effect of the rug can be achieved through a skillful combination of texture and color. Due to their expressive style, the carpets from the Poltronova collection can be combined with any other rug. TAGWERC can be used not only as floor carpets, but also as wall carpets - ideal in areas with a lot of concrete, unused wall and floor surfaces and sober areas such as corridors, offices and reception areas. Here, the carpets not only create an eye-catching feature, but also absorb sound and thus optimize the acoustics.

Our conclusion

Elegant and unusual, Cielo can be used not only as a floor rug but also as a wall rug. Made from the natural product wool, the rug from the Italian design institution Poltonova offers a unique design as well as durability, robustness and outstanding comfort. This makes Tappeto Cielo not only a design classics, but also an art object, perfect for design collections and design lovers.
