Tappeto Prato Carpet

Butterfly, lawn and sky

Farfalla, Prato and Cielo are the three Carpets, which are taken from the Farfalla pattern, which was developed by the group in 1967 Archizoom The pattern was designed by [artist's name]. It forms an avant-garde contrast between floral Art Nouveau decorations and the experimental Pop Art of that era. The Farfalla, Prato, and Cielo carpets are extracts of the main components of the original pattern: a butterfly, grass, and sky. The carpets are characterized by an expressionistic explosion of primary colors and simple geometric forms, which are filled with graphic elements such as polka dots, checks, and diagonal stripes—typical of the works of artists like Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol.

Prato as an eye-catcher

The dominant color is a rich Green, which is enlivened by abstract floral designs. The irregularly curved carpet edge is finished with Black The Prato rug is accentuated by its distinctive design. Made entirely of wool, it is hand-tufted in India. This allows for the skillful combination of texture and color, resulting in a unique effect. Due to its expressive character, Prato can be used not only as a floor rug but also as a wall hanging – ideal for areas with a lot of concrete, unused wall and floor space, and otherwise rather austere areas such as hallways, offices, and reception areas. Here, the Prato rug not only creates a visual focal point but also absorbs sound, thus contributing to improved acoustics.

Feng Shui in flux

Prato of Poltronova Prato is a true work of art, blending design history with the demands of modern interiors. Inspired by the Farfalla pattern of the design group Archizoom, Prato embodies the spirit of Radical Design, representing anarchy against established design tastes and a spirit of departure. Since Prato's form is neither round nor angular, but rather fluid and free of corners and edges, the rug is also ideally suited to the principles of Feng Shui, the Daoist art of harmony. Natural materials and flowing forms soften the impact of hard materials and angular shapes, such as those found in tables, cabinets, and similar furnishings.

Our conclusion

Prato, an abstract representation of grass in the style of Radical Design, is sure to appeal to more than just golfers and design enthusiasts. The pattern's origins trace back to the 1960s and Archizoom's Farfalla design. Elegant and distinctive, Prato can be used not only as a floor rug but also as a wall hanging. Made from natural wool, Prato offers not only a unique design but also durability, robustness, and exceptional comfort.
