Birdie
Hovering birds of light
Twelve LED light sources, 24 goose feathers, a choice of red or transparent cabling, a diameter of around 70 centimetres and a transformer integrated into the canopy - this is the hardware of the charismatic lighting object that light artist Ingo Maurer designed in 2002 and named Birdie. Revised in 2018, the luminaire can be dimmed using an external wall dimmer for electronic transformers, which is not included in the scope of delivery. A dimmer offers the additional advantage that the Birdie's light can be regulated and adapted to the desired mood. But even without a dimmer, Birdie still has the special effect of a flock of hovering birds of light. Illumination of the table, concentrated zone lighting or even mood lighting - with the pendant light Birdie makes all this possible.

The experimental arrangement of Campari bottles as a lampshade and a light source housed inside allows breathtaking light scenarios and light reflections to be created. The pendant light Campari Light is therefore suitable wherever attractive, pleasantly filtered light that radiates warmth and intimacy is required. A bar, a private area in a lobby, a coffee corner - the pendant light Campari Light provides the perfect eye-catcher and Italian charisma.
Handcrafted feather wings
Birdie - English for 'little bird' - describes the special shape of this filigree and artistic chandelier. Pairs of wings, handcrafted from white goose feathers, not only act as a decorative element but also as a reflector. They are mounted directly on the E27 base, the holder for the LED bulbs. The manufacturer recommends using hairspray to protect the wings against dirt. The socket is held in place by flexible metal wires. The power is supplied via red cables. In addition to this original design by lighting designer Ingo Maurer , Birdie can also be ordered from TAGWERC in a version with transparent cable connections.
Charismatic chandelier
"This special chandelier can be used in a foyer, a gallery, above a dining table, but also in a previously unused or unnoticed corner of a room," recommend the furnishing experts at TAGWERC and add: "Birdie also brings a modern, clearly structured ambience - as is often found in new buildings - to life." LED light sources and the pairs of blades are available separately from TAGWERC at spare parts .
