Zettel'z 6 pendant light

Uplight and one downlight

As early as 1997, Ingo Maurer designed the pendant light Zettel'z 6, with which - as so often - he breaks with conventional notions of a pendant light . The luminaire has a diameter of 80 centimeters and is equipped with a light source. This has an E27 socket, which makes it suitable for all corresponding light bulbs within the recommended light output. The Zettel'z 6 pendant light is equipped with a 2 meter long power cable as standard, but can alternatively be ordered from TAGWERC but can also be ordered with a 4 meter long cable suspension. For larger room situations, we recommend the Zettel'z 5 with a diameter of 120 centimeters, two lamps and DIN A5 Washi sheets.

Washi as a world cultural heritage

Washi is the name of the Japanese paper used for the Zettel'z pendant lights from Ingo Maurer . Despite its filigree nature, this special paper is many times stronger and more durable than local paper made from cellulose. It is made from fibers of Japanese wood species using traditional production techniques and was declared an intangible world cultural heritage in 2014. TAGWERC offers the original Zettel'z 6 paper sheets as two different spare part sets: 80 blank sheets or 40 printed and 40 blank sheets.

Noble and an eye-catcher

The appearance of the Zettel'z 6 pendant light can be flexibly varied and adapted to individual room conditions. The Japanese pier leaves are individually attached to the filigree metal structure and can be freely rotated and aligned to achieve the desired light distribution. As a solitary and central lighting element in a dining room, living room or bedroom or as a decorative eye-catcher in an entrance area, hallway, gallery or pointed arch - the Zettel'z pendant light is unique for a variety of applications and furnishing styles. By designing the free leaves with colors and patterns, Zettel'z 6 can be adapted to existing furnishings.

Masterpiece of design and craftsmanship

One thing is certain: The Zettel'z 6 pendant light from Ingo Maurer is undoubtedly a masterpiece of design and craftsmanship. With its unique shape, versatility and adaptable silhouette, as well as its timeless elegance and, last but not least, its sustainability, the Zettel'z 6 combines everything you could wish for in a room light. The lamp is therefore not only a fully functional lighting element, it also lends any room a special atmosphere.

Quality of light

"The quality of the light is more important to me than the form and so I concentrated on that," said Ingo Maurer , commenting on his work as one of the most important lighting designers.Designer of the 20th century. His lighting designs are preceded by the iconic "Bulb", which was created in 1966 by a twist of fate and has accompanied Ingo Maurer throughout its life: "The light bulb has always been my leitmotif, right from the start." Maurer's designs are diverse and are sometimes created in symbiotic cooperation with other designers, such as in 2012 with Moritz Waldemeyer for the LED luminaire with the telling name "My New Flame".
