Handcrafted feather wings
Birdie The English word for 'little bird' aptly describes the unique form of this delicate and artistic table lamp. Here, pairs of wings, handcrafted from white goose feathers, serve not only as decorative elements but also as reflectors. They are mounted directly to the E27 socket, the socket for the LED bulb. The manufacturer recommends using hairspray to protect the wings from dirt. The socket is held in place by flexible metal wires, allowing the shape of the bush to be adjusted to suit individual preferences. Power is supplied via transparent cables.
Special effect
Seven frosted LED bulbs, 14 goose feathers, a maximum height of approximately 95 centimeters with a diameter of 50 centimeters, and a transformer integrated into the base – this is the hardware of the charismatic lighting object designed by lighting artist Ingo Maurer in 2010 and named Birdie's Bush. Designed in 2010, the lamp can be dimmed using an external dimmer for electronic transformers, which is not included. All lamps in the Birdie family are powered by a special light source featuring energy-saving LED technology and delivering a light output of 1.5 watts. The light temperature, also known as color temperature, is 2,600 Kelvin, which corresponds to warm white light.
