Lucellino – a play on the Italian words 'uccellino' for 'little bird' and 'luce' for 'light' – is the fitting name for this delicate and artistically graceful wall lamp. For in Lucellino, a pair of wings, artfully handcrafted from goose feathers, serves not only as a decorative element but also as a reflector.

Indoor only

The Lucellino series by Ingo Maurer includes, in addition to the cordless version, wall and ceiling mounting options. Lucellino NT the wired Lucellino Wall wall light as well as the cordless Lucellino Doppio Wall and ceiling light. The Lucellino NT and Lucellino Doppio models have the transformer integrated into the wall plate. These lights require no cable or plug. The Lucellino Wall model, however, is equipped with a cable and plug. All lights in the Lucellino series are unsuitable for outdoor use or for rooms with high humidity.

Handcrafted pair of wings

The handcrafted pair of wings made from goose feathers sits directly on the E27 socket, the socket for the light bulb. The manufacturer suggests that the wings can be protected from dirt with hairspray. The red cable, on the other hand, is soldered to the LED bulb. The Ambient bulb is an exclusive, special-order bulb manufactured by Ingo Maurer GmbH, which can only be used in the Lucellino and I Ricchi Poveri lighting families.

New LED technology

Ambient is the new LED technology from Ingo Maurer for the Lucellino and I Ricchi Poveri product families. Following intensive development, Ingo Maurer GmbH has created a light source that is designed to come even closer to the performance of halogen lamps. The Ambient LED bulb is compatible with previous LED models, but not with previous halogen models.

Swarm of hovering light birds

Lucellino NT can only be mounted directly onto a wall outlet and is dimmable via wall dimmers for electronic transformers. Using a dimmer allows you to regulate the light intensity of the Lucellino NT. With appropriate wiring, several Lucellino NT lights can be switched and dimmed simultaneously. Lucellino NT can be installed as a single accent light or in groups. When mounted in a group, the Lucellino NT wall light creates the beautiful and visually striking effect of a flock of floating 'little birds'.
