PH 5-4½ pendant light

The PH 5-4½ pendant light by Louis Poulsen goes back to an early lights design by Danish designer Poul Henningsen. This means that the PH 5-4½ pendant light is not only a design classic, but also state of the art to this day. Thanks to its sophisticated design and special arrangement of reflectors, the PH 5-4-4½ pendant light from Louis Poulsen provides absolutely glare-free light. The interior design experts from the TAGWERC Design STORE recommend the PH 5-4-4½ pendant light as the perfect zone light.

Designer Poul Henningsen's deliberate considerations in the special construction of the PH 5-4½ pendant light make this design classic ultra-modern to this day, as the pendant light PH 5-4½ can be operated with almost all common lamps (incandescent lamp, halogen lamp, energy-saving lamp and LED bulb) without any problems. Thanks to the bayonet catch, the light source can be easily replaced even with a PH 5-4½ pendant light already fitted.

The lampshades and diffuser of the PH 5-4½ pendant lamp shield the light source, ensuring glare-free light. At the same time, the light reflection creates a pleasant and atmospheric zone light that illuminates the immediate surroundings and recommends the PH 5-4½ pendant light by Louis Poulsen for illuminating tables and corridors. A clip-on canopy conceals the cable and power connection in a simple yet elegant way.

The Designer Poul Henningsen himself commented on the creation of the PH 5 light series with the following words: "After 33 years of basically Christian behavior, I have converted to Islam, so to speak, with regard to my broken relationship with the manufacturers of light bulbs. For a long time I believed that consideration for the consumer and common sense would prevail, but now I have become a fatalist. I have accepted fate and, with the approval of Louis Poulsen, designed a PH luminaire that can be used with any type of light source - fairy lights or 100-watt metal filament lamps. Although a fluorescent tube in its existing form would be too much!"

At TAGWERC Design STORE you can obtain the pendant light PH 5-4½ and its bigger sister, the pendant light PH 6½-6, in all available versions from the licensed manufacturer Louis Poulsen. spare parts for the pendant light PH 5-4½ are also available from TAGWERC.
