The most ingenious design ideas are often based on everyday forms and a reduction bordering on genius. This is precisely what the Fante Lighting family from the design trio Studio DDL, an association of Italian architects and Designer Gionatan (also Jonathan) de Pas (1932 to 1991), Donato d'Urbino (born 1935) and Paolo Lomazzi (born 1936). The Fante lighting family was then, as it is today, designed by Stilnovo Made in Italy. It consists of the Fante ceiling light and the Fante table lamp. Sphere and cone

On the one hand, the silhouette of the Fante ceiling light is reminiscent of the stylized form of a lady dressed in a gown and wide-brimmed hat; on the other hand, Fante appears as a skillful combination of geometric shapes such as a sphere and a cone. The cone, coated with silicone (EPDM rubber: ethylene propylene diene monomer), serves as the body of the Fante ceiling light and is available in two colors – brick red and black – available. The spherical, opal white head of the Fante table lamp functions both as a light bulb and as a holder for the lampshade, the diffuser of the Fante ceiling lamp.
