Inspired by Pop Art and conceived in the style of Radical Design by designers Gionatan de Pas, Donato d'Urbino, and Paolo Lomazzi (Studio DDL) during the postmodern era, the Cessato Allarme wardrobe was inspired by the humble memory of the life-saving and all-clear sirens of World War II. Today, these sirens have completely disappeared from Italian cityscapes, but Studio DDL has created a design monument to them with Cessato Allarme.

The Italian manufacturer Poltronova has been producing the Cessato Allarme coat rack since 1991, crafted from metal with a vibrant color finish. This makes the Cessato Allarme both a historically significant design classic and a functional piece of furniture. Standing 152 centimeters tall, the base measures 39 centimeters in diameter. The crown of the Cessato Allarme coat rack has a diameter of 42.5 centimeters. Here, six cones are arranged symmetrically around a central sphere, providing ample space for clothing and headwear.
