Cessato Allarme coat stand

The Cessato Allarme coat stand from Poltronova is reminiscent of the alarm sirens that were mounted on rooftops and street lamps in Italy during the Second World War to save the population. The Cessato Allarme coatstand was designed in 1986 by the Italian design trio Studio DDL designed. In the TAGWERC Design STORE you can purchase the Cessato Allarme coat stand as a licensed re-edition of the original design from 1986. Cessato Allarme is made by Poltronova by hand from metal to order and then painted.

Inspired by Pop Art and conceived in the Radical Design style by the designers Gionatan de Pas, Donato d'Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi (Studio DDL) in the postmodern era, the humble memory of the life-saving and all-clear sirens from the Second World War played a decisive role in the development of the coatstand Cessato Allarme. Today, these sirens have completely disappeared from Italian cityscapes, but Sudio DDL has created a design monument to the alarm sirens with Cessato Allarme.

The Italian manufacturer Poltronova has been producing the coatstand Cessato Allarme in metal with a bright color finish since 1991. This makes Cessato Allarme both a design classic steeped in history and a practical piece of furniture. At a height of 152 centimetres, the base measures 39 centimetres in diameter. The crown of the Cessato Allarme coat stand has a diameter of 42.5 centimeters. Six cones are arranged symmetrically around a ball in the middle, providing space for clothing and headwear.

Cessato Allarme is recommended as an eye-catcher in the office, reception, hallway and foyer, dressing room or guest room. Despite its sculptural form, Cessato Allarme is by no means short on comfort. TAGWERC recommends Cessato Allarme as a solitaire or arranged in a group to all those who are looking for something special.
