Lampiatta table- or wall light
Radical Design
The best design ideas are often based on everyday shapes and a skillful design language, characterized by clarity and reduction. This is exactly what describes the Lampiatta family of luminaires from the design trio Studio DDLan association of Italian architects and designers Designer Gionatan (also Jonathan) de Pas (1932 to 1991), Donato d'Urbino (born 1935) and Paolo Lomazzi (born 1936). The Lampiatta luminaire family was then, and still is today, characterized by Stilnovo made in Italy. It consists of the Lampiatta pendant light and the Lampiatta table lampwhich at the same time wall light can be mounted. The Lampiatta lights is characterized by its minimalist design combined with sophisticated, modern functionality. Lampiatta is representative of Radical Design in Italy in the 1960s and 1970s. The designs by the design trio Studio DDL are among the most important artifacts of this so-called Anti Design style, which is considered a counter-movement to functionalism.

Hemisphere with brim
On the one hand, the silhouette of the Lampiatta lampshade is reminiscent of the stylized shape of a headdress, the so-called Saturno or Cappello Romano, also known colloquially as the 'Don Camillo hat'. Especially in Italy, Catholic clergymen wear this perfectly round hat with a brim. On the other hand, the shape of the Lampiatta lamp is reminiscent of the planet Saturn. The lampshade is white and is made of aluminum, the surface of the lamp housing is made of ABS plastic and is TAGWERC in three different colors - white, black and red - available. The inside of the lampshade is also white for maximum light reflection. The matching LED light source is supplied with the lamp. The light color is 2,700 Kelvin, which means that the table lamp Lampiatta provides warm white light. The Lampiatta table lamp has a 2 meter long cable.
Lampiatta - light simply everywhere
The Lampiatta table lamp can also be installed as wall light . The special design with four different openings in the housing allows the user to simply reposition the lampshade and direct the light in the desired direction. This makes the Lampiatta luminaire ideal for use not only as table lamp but also as accentuating wall lighting. In the hallway, above a sideboard, as a bedside lamp, in a teenager's room, in a student's room, in a dressing room, above a picture, on a side table, on a desk, in a niche in a kitchen or next to a staircase or as a light run in an office, hotel or restaurant - Lampiatta is a true all-rounder.
Lampiatta - the dimensions
The lampshade of the Lampiatta table lamp measures 28.2 centimetres in diameter and is therefore just as large as the small version of the Lampiatta pendant light. Together with the base or wall bracket, this results in a construction depth of just under 33 centimeters. Depending on the shade position, the Lampiatta table lamp has a minimum height of 35 and a maximum height of 48.4 centimeters. The light source inside the lampshade is fed via a black, permanently installed cable. The manufacturer specifies an IP20 protection rating for Lampiatte.
