Lampiatta table or wall lamp
Radical Design
The best design ideas are often based on everyday forms and a skillful design language characterized by clarity and reduction. This perfectly describes the Lampiatta Lighting family from the design trio Studio DDL, an association of Italian architects and Designer Gionatan (also Jonathan) de Pas (1932 to 1991), Donato d'Urbino (born 1935) and Paolo Lomazzi (born 1936). The Lampiatta family of lamps was then, as it is today, designed by Stilnovo Made in Italy. It consists of the Lampiatta. pendant light as well as the Lampiatta table lamp, which simultaneously serve as wall light Lampiatta lamps can be mounted. Characteristic of Lampiatta lamps is their minimalist design combined with sophisticated, modern functionality. Lampiatta is representative of Radical Design in Italy during the 1960s and 1970s. The designs of the design trio Studio DDL are among the most important artifacts of this so-called anti-design style, which is considered a counter-movement to functionalism.
Hemisphere with rim
Firstly, the silhouette of the Lampiatta lampshade is reminiscent of the stylized shape of a headdress, the so-called Saturno, also known as the Cappello Romano and colloquially as the 'Don Camillo hat'. This perfectly round, brimmed hat is worn particularly by Catholic priests in Italy. Secondly, the shape of the Lampiatta lamp is reminiscent of the planet Saturn. The lampshade is white and is made of aluminum, the surface of the lamp housing is made of ABS plastic and is TAGWERC in three different colors – white, black and red Available. For maximum light reflection, the inside of the lampshade is also white. The matching LED bulb is included. The light color is 2,700 Kelvin, giving the Lampiatta table lamp a warm white light. The Lampiatta table lamp has a 2-meter-long cable.
Lampiatta – Light simply everywhere
The Lampiatta table lamp can also be mounted as a wall lamp. Its unique design, featuring four different openings in the housing, allows the user to easily reposition the lampshade and direct the light as desired. This makes the Lampiatta ideal not only as a table lamp but also as accent wall lighting. Whether in a hallway, above a sideboard, as a bedside lamp, in a teenager's room, a student's room, a dressing room, above a picture, on a side table, on a desk, in a kitchen niche, next to a staircase, or as a light strip in an office, hotel, or restaurant – Lampiatta is a true all-rounder.
Lampiatta – the dimensions
The lampshade of the Lampiatta table lamp measures 28.2 centimeters in diameter, making it the same size as the smaller version of the Lampiatta pendant lamp. Including the base or wall mount, the lamp has a depth of just under 33 centimeters. Depending on the shade's position, the Lampiatta table lamp has a minimum height of 35 centimeters and a maximum height of 48.4 centimeters. The light source inside the lampshade is powered by a permanently attached black cable. The manufacturer specifies an IP20 protection rating for the Lampiatta lamp.
Lampiatta – our conclusion
Lampiatta is a design classic that combines exceptional Italian design with modern LED technology. The light is emitted in a cone shape. For those seeking a compact and affordable table or wall lamp without compromising on design, Lampiatta offers a unique lighting solution.
