VP 6WG

The unique pattern of the VP6 rug is based on two geometric shapes: Circle and square. These round and angular elements are combined in the VP6 Carpet in beige medium gray to create an interesting pattern that radiates a certain three-dimensionality. The beige and medium grey colors underline this contrasting interplay and make the VP6 rug in beige medium grey a design classics of timeless elegance and value.

The VP6 pattern is part of Geometri, probably the designer's best-known pattern Verner Panton In the same year that Verner Panton designed the Geometri pattern, he used it to line two objects. He designed the Showroom for the textile company Unika Vaev in New York/USA entirely in black-white. Geometri in red-orange on the other hand, dominated the bold interior design of the Astoria hotel and restaurant in Trondheim, Norway. The Dane completely covered the floors, ceilings and walls in this patterned dress. While Verner Panton designed Geometri as early as 1960, the general public only discovered this form of décor in the mid to late 1960s. Once again, Geometri proves what Verner Panton actually was: a pioneer and trailblazer of the great era of Pop Art.

Geometric shapes, applied to home textiles, were a major theme in the 1960s and are very much back in fashion today. All versions of the fabric decor VP6 in beige medium gray that are still available today are available in the original from the design interior specialist TAGWERC. One of the most famous patterns of the Mid Century Art era sets an elegant accent in your home: whether in the living room, dining room, bedroom or foyer - just as Verner Panton himself used the pattern throughout his life.
