VP ASTORIA GREIGE
VP Astoria Greige was part of the legendary Geometri pattern in red-orangewhich dominated the bold interior design of the Hotel-Restaurant Astoria. In doing so, the Danish architect and Designer Floors, ceilings and walls completely dressed in this pattern. Café, conservatory and coatstand of the restaurant were decorated in this design. While Verner Panton Geometri Panton was already designing in 1960, the masses only discovered this form of décor in the mid to late 1960s. Once again, Geometri proves what Verner Panton actually was: a pioneer and trailblazer of the great era of Pop Art. The VP Astoria Greige rug picks up on this interior design.
