Hand-knotted from pure new wool, the design interior specialist TAGWERC the VP Gate 1 rug in different sizes. As VP Gate 1 is only made to order, larger sizes can also be produced individually. The VP Gate 1 carpet makes use of the effect of contrasts. Lighter color nuances are contrasted with darker ones from the same color range. The strongest contrast in the VP Gate 1 rug is achieved by using black with a light beige as a counterpart. Straight edges look like lines in the hand-knotted VP Gate 1 rug, although there are no actual lines. Dots and triangles seem to dissolve into squares - an optical illusion that can be Designer Verner Panton made use of throughout his life.
The VP Gate 1 and VP Gate 2 differ in the different arrangement of the individual shapes. This results in a redistribution of the lighter and darker shades. A completely different effect surprises the observer.
