LUNA RUG
The 'Luna' pattern set Designer Verner Panton 1979 as part of its Dekor IV collection. At the time, Mira-X wove various geometric patterns into textiles and used them as curtains or wall hangings. The Danish lights and furniture manufacturer Verpan reissued this design and reinterpreted it as a five-part series of round carpets. With a diameter of 120 centimetres, the Luna Rug is hand-tufted from New Zealand virgin wool. In this production method, colored wool threads are applied to a backing fabric using a special gun and the reverse side is laminated.

Pure new wool has a number of positive properties that benefit you when using a rug like Luna. It is robust, dirt-repellent, hard-wearing, warming, air-purifying, moisture-regulating and flame-retardant. The renewable and biodegradable raw material provides a rug that is in harmony with the ecological conscience and weighs in at 12 kilograms. The Luna Rug is tufted, which makes the rug particularly attractively priced in contrast to our hand-knotted Verner Panton rugs.
