The carpet designs by architect and designer Verner Panton are undoubtedly valuable design classics, but they are anything but outdated. They bear such illustrious names as "Geometri", "Sinfonia", "Roulette" or "Diamand" and are hand-knotted by the German company Designercarpets by Teppich Drechsle in its own factory in Nepal. This guarantees the highest level of quality and individuality. The unique pieces are by no means just for fans of retro design. The Danish company Verpan also produces Panton carpets . While Designercarpets has the carpets knotted by hand, Verpan's carpets are tufted.
But regardless of the manufacturing technique, Panton's textile works present colors and shapes in a harmony rarely seen elsewhere. VP VIII in particular looks like a color study by his master. Regardless of whether the basic shape is round, rectangular or square - starting from the center, for example, the color circles change from warm yellow to orange, red, pink, violet, cold blue and fresh green from the inside out. While the VP VIII RAINBOW (RB for short) is available in three different shapes and two designs, the rug with white circles on a black background and black circles on a white background is only available in a round version. With a diameter of 68 centimetres, we can also supply the VP VIII exclusively in a decorative black cardboard box on request.
