Panto Pop
Panto Pop is stackable and looks great whether placed individually or used as a seating group. Available in the following colors: white and red Panto Pop can be adapted to the respective ambience. Verner Panton, A specialist in multifunctional seating furniture developed a lounge furniture series in 1969. It was manufactured in small series from fiberglass-reinforced Leguval, a polyester plastic, lacquered, and presented at the 1970 exhibition. Visiona 2The exhibition in Cologne presented the collection for the first time. Verner Panton's lounge furniture series originally consisted of four pieces: a table that could also be used as a stool, a chaise longue called 'Pantoffel', and an armchair available in two heights. The latter was first mass-produced in 1999 under the name Panto Pop.
The Danish furniture manufacturer Innovations Randers produced a slightly modified version of the armchair. Firstly, it was only about 98 percent the size, and secondly, it was available in many different colors such as silver, gray, Black, White, Pink, Orange, Blue and transparent. By then, technology had advanced to the point where thermoplastics could be colored. This eliminated the need for the time-consuming painting process in the production of Panto Pop. Furthermore, this made the chair easier to care for and more weather-resistant, making it suitable for use in the garden and on the patio.
The Danish manufacturer perfected this capability. Verpan When he acquired the licensing rights to Panto Pop in 2012 and redesigned the chair, he added a UV stabilizer to the ASA plastic and a hole in the center of the seat. This allows excess water to drain away, a detail that facilitates rainwater runoff and should be a welcome feature for anyone cleaning their Panto Pop.
