Living Tower
Modular living landscapes were Verner Panton's favorite theme. His Living Tower, presented for the first time as part of the Phantasy Landscape at Visiona, makes full use of the three-dimensionality of space. The organically shaped living sculpture consisting of two composite elements can be used on four levels. All seating options are ergonomically shaped and therefore extremely comfortable. The facing arrangement of the individual seating areas actively encourages communication. A birch plywood frame ensures stability at Living Tower . The polyurethane foam upholstery is covered with fabric and provides the desired comfort.

Verner Panton himself, it was a horror to be trapped in a sitting position all evening. His Living Tower offers complete liberation from this constraint. The seating object broke all chains of convention when Panton presented it to the world at the end of the 1960s. To this day, the Living Tower living sculpture is unique in the furniture world. The further development of the Living Tower, the Living Sculpture, has been part of the design collection of the Pompidou Center in Paris / France.
Once conceived, Verner Panton used the Living Tower in many interior designs throughout his life. The Varna Palais restaurant and his private villa in the canton of Basel-Stadt are two further examples of this. The production of the residential tower has an eventful history: built by Herman Miller in 1969 and 1970; produced by Fritz Hansen in Denmark until 1975; in 1997, Stega Upholstered Furniture was the manufacturer in Switzerland; since 1999, the Living Tower has been produced by Vitra. The interior design specialist TAGWERC you will receive the original Living Tower with certificate.
