The pendant light Topan VP6 by &tradition, the disco ball by Designer Verner Panton, dates back to the year in which the first discotheques opened. At the same time, Topan VP6 was the first mass-produced luminaire by Verner Panton. In 1959, Panton used Topan VP6 pendant luminaires for the first time in the Hotel Astoria in Trondheim, Norway.

Topan VP6 pendant light

The basic shape of an aluminum sphere with a diameter of 21 cm, brushed or painted, is open at the bottom. The light is focused in this way and emerges as a cone. Unlike the designer's other lights Verner Panton the Topan VP6 pendant light emits direct rather than indirect light. It is therefore advisable to hang the pendant light as low as possible in its intended location. Topan VP6 is supplied with a three-metre-long fabric cable that matches the color of the lamp globe to ensure a height that suits the individual.

Topan VP6 can be fitted with a maximum 40 watt light source. In this way, the design classic provides pleasant mood lighting that can be used to emphasize specific areas. For example, 18 white and 18 yellow Topan VP6 lights were used in the BMW Auto Museum in Munich as a spotlight above a yellow BMW Isetta with a white top, built in 1955. At the IBM stand at Cebit in Hanover, the IT world exchanged expertise at Topan VP6 lights . In our opinion: Topan VP6 - always a well-rounded solution.
