Panton Wire Single by Montana is a free-standing, cube-like shelf that goes back to a design by Verner Panton from 1971. The name of the Panton Wire shelf at the time was Wire Shelf and is derived from the construction of the shelf: cord-like extended metal wire forms a cube-like cube. Panton Wire is available from design classics specialist TAGWERC in two different depths (18.8 and 34.8 centimeters). In addition to the chrome-plated version, the Panton Wire shelf, which can also be used as a coffee table or bedside table, is available at TAGWERC Design STORE lacquered in different colors and with a guarantee of authenticity.

Multifunctional modular furniture

Modular furniture that adapts to every situation has always been a theme in furniture design, which also includes Verner Panton took up. The Wire Shelf of yesteryear - on which the Panton Wire of today is based - was part of the Pantonova furniture family at the time. Formed from individual cuboids with a side length of 34.5 centimetres at the time, it can still be used just as flexibly and versatilely today despite its adapted dimensions. Hi-fi cabinet, table, bookshelf or room divider - there are virtually no limits to the ideas. Parallel 5-millimeter-thick wire ropes are bent into a cube that is open at the front and back.

Room divider, wall and floor shelf

As a wall shelf, Panton Wire should be loaded with a maximum of 10 kilograms. When used as a floor shelf, the manufacturer Montana specifies a maximum load of 40 kilograms. If several Panton Wire elements are used as room dividers, they should also be secured to the ceiling, wall and floor.

Original design classics

Montana is the current manufacturer of the Panton Wire Cube. The individual elements can be connected to each other using the clips included in the scope of delivery. Shelves made of glass, MDF or marble and fittings for wall mounting as accessories multiply the possible uses of the wire shelf. The lights is available in the same style.
