FUN METALL 1WA, the wall light by the renowned Designer Verner Panton, was originally designed in the 1960s as part of an entire family of luminaires. Panton, known for Pop Art design, used a simple yet ingenious design concept for the wall light FUN 1WA: The smooth, shiny surface of the chrome-plated metal discs serves to reflect the light. At the same time, the light source in the center of the wall light FUN METALL 1WA is concealed by the metal discs, creating an extremely pleasant, indirect light.

Fun 1WA FUN METALL

The high-gloss chrome-plated frame of the FUN 1WA wall light has three metal rings that increase in size from top to bottom, on which chains of different lengths with metal discs are hung. With a construction depth of 22 centimetres, a diameter of 40 centimetres and a height of 58 centimetres, the FUN 1WA wall light can be operated with a light source of up to 60 watts. The heat generated by the light source and the air circulation in the room influence the movement of the metal discs. This produces a subtle melody, similar to a chime.
