A unique personality

„"The lounge chair Petra VB3 "Building on the great success of Little Petra," is how the manufacturer &Tradition presented the armchair in spring 2024. Little Petra, named after Boesen's mother-in-law Petra, was a small woman with a big personality. Her unique personality is meant to be reflected in and inspired by the enveloping form of the armchair's design. Petra, it is said, shared the same bold character and aesthetic as Little Petra – albeit in a larger form with a high backrest – similar to a classic wingback chair.

Anatomical silhouette

As with Little Petra Lounge Chair Despite its compact size, Petra impresses with its unique shape. Like a negative mold, the backrest of the Petra VB3 Lounge Chair mirrors the anatomical silhouette of the sitter. This cradling effect makes the VB3 Petra chair feel exceptionally comfortable and inviting, easily outshining larger, more voluminous wingback chairs. Comfortably padded armrests provide an extra touch of coziness.

Sustainable materials

The Petra VB3 armchair is made from FSC-certified wood. This certification guarantees responsible, ecological, social, and economic management of the world's forests. Measuring 80 centimeters wide and 91 centimeters deep, Petra stands 99 centimeters tall. The seat height is a comfortable 40 centimeters, making it easy for users of all ages to get up. Weighing 26.6 kilograms, the Petra VB3 offers sufficient stability without being too heavy for occasional repositioning. Felt glides, which are fitted as standard, make it easy to use the armchair on smooth floors such as tiles, parquet, laminate, and engineered concrete.

Open and inviting, Petra combines the best qualities of a wingback chair, making it suitable for any conceivable setting: lobby, lounge, living room, study, dressing room, nursing room, and bedroom.
