architect and Designer Viggo Boesen presented the Fox Lounge Chair It was first presented in 1936 and immediately received the Wicker-Makers Guild prize. Further international exhibitions and awards followed. When the beautifully designed rattan chair had almost been forgotten, Sika Design In 2014, the company adopted the chair design by Viggo Boesens and now produces the Fox Lounge Chair in two versions: in rattan for indoor use and in Artfibre, polyrattan and aluminium for outdoor use.

The Fox Lounge Chair impresses with its compact size and unique shape. Like a negative mold, the backrest of the Fox Lounge Chair mirrors the anatomical silhouette of the sitter. Thanks to this cradling effect, the Fox Lounge Chair feels exceptionally comfortable and cozy, easily outshining large, bulky, and heavy wingback chairs. The same principle is also found in the upholstered armchair. Little Petra, also designed by Viggo Boesen two years later.

With a depth and height of 80 centimeters, the Fox Lounge Chair offers a low seat height of 25 centimeters. The Fox indoor armchair is available in the TAGWERC Design STORE available in both available versions: natural (model VB-11-SU) and matte. black (Model VB-11-S). Low to the ground, open, and embracing, Fox embodies the essence of a lounge chair, offering comfortable, relaxed seating in any conceivable setting: lobby, lounge, living room, club, study, nursing room, children's room, bedroom, hallway, office. Emphasis was also placed on the use of natural materials: the entire chair is made of rattan, reflecting Viggo Boesen's love of natural materials.

The Fox Lounge Chair is produced in Indonesia using traditional handcrafting techniques. The base and working material are hand-harvested rattan canes from the rattan palm. These canes are interwoven with individual fiber strands. Their unique structure makes rattan canes particularly light and flexible. To weave the chair, the rattan is first steamed for a few minutes before basket weavers can process it into the Fox Lounge Chair. Sika Design states that the entire production process is certified according to the SA8000 standard and complies with the ISO14001 standard. This certification is intended to guarantee the highest level of ecological and social sustainability.

A matching seat cushion in various colors can be ordered for the Fox Lounge Chair. The Fox seat cushion consists of a single piece that conforms to the chair's shape and can be attached to the frame. The seat cushion for the Fox Lounge Chair is available in two different qualities: A and B. Alternatively, the seat cushion can be made with your own fabric. Two meters of upholstery fabric are required per cushion.
