Flowerpot lamps by Verner Panton
Flowerpot Flowerpot lamps, also known colloquially as Flowerpot lamps, belong to a lighting series by the Danish interior design label &Tradition, manufactured under license based on a design by architect Verner Panton from 1968. The Flowerpot lamp family consists of pendant lamps. Flowerpot VP1, Flowerpot VP2 and Flowerpot VP7 as well as the Table lamps Flowerpot VP3 and Flowerpot VP4. A Flowerpot garden and outdoor light is currently not in production.
Well-thought-out construction and design award
All Flowerpot lamps are characterized by a simple yet ingenious basic design. The lamp body of the Flowerpot lamp consists of two hemispheres. The upper, larger hemisphere holds the light source, while the lower hemisphere, only half the size, faces the upper one and is held in position by an externally invisible metal frame. The smaller hemisphere conceals the light source and provides a pleasantly indirect light. The inner surfaces of the hemispheres are white They are coated and serve as light reflectors. The ingenious design of the Flowerpot brought Designer Verner Panton the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany.
