New colors for the AJ lights at TAGWERC
Dusty Blue, Warm Grey, Soft Yellow, Warm Sand and Electric Orange are the promising names of the five new colors from Danish luminaire manufacturer Louis Poulsen for the AJ light series by Designer Arne Jacobsen. From autumn 2023, this special color palette, inspired by Arne Jacobsen's favorite watercolors, will be available in the original at TAGWERC, specialist for design classics. These new shades, four pate shades and one expressive shade, complement the existing AJ luminaire colors and finishes: Pate Petroleum, Black, White and Stainless Steel.
Love of painting
Danish architect Arne Jacobsen shaped the Danish Modernist design movement and was known for his use of geometric shapes and clean lines. But few knew of his love of painting and his talent for watercolors. The young Dane actually wanted to devote himself to fine art after finishing school. However, his father's misgivings led him to change his career path and study architecture. Nevertheless, Jacobsen remained an enthusiastic painter throughout his life, inspired by the images of nature, which he immortalized in watercolours. Watercolors are characterized by natural pigments and are known for their special radiance and blending of tones
New, invigorating color accents
The new color palette of the AJ luminaire family is based on the watercolors used by Jacobsen. The AJ lights, which will be available from TAGWERC from fall 2023 as the original design classics in a contemporary look, promise subtle yet intense color experiences. A mystical blue, warm grey, soft yellow, warm beige and electrifying orange lend the home new, invigorating color accents. Just the right remedy for the soul when the nights get longer and the days more uncomfortable, breathing new life into one of the most important classic lamps.
