Verpan
lights, Furniture, rugs, Objects
Verpan is a lights and furniture manufacturer that produces designs by Danish designer Verner Panton under license. The label has its headquarters in the Danish town of Horsens, a harbor town on the east coast of Jutland, at the end of the Horsens Fjord. Verpan, a neologism made up of the three initial letters of Verner Panton's first and last name, began producing the VP Globe in 2003. pendant light Verpan's first dealer was the German interior designer Tagwerc, a specialist in design objects. Together with Verpan, the globally active interior designer Tagwerc carries out brand work. The Danish and German companies keep the memory of Verner Panton Design alive.
Sound manufacturing experience
The story of Verpan began in Denmark in 2003. For the production of lights by designer Verner Panton, Verpan cooperated with Frandsen Lighting from the very beginning. The company, which is also Danish, has had sound manufacturing experience in the lighting sector since 1968 - albeit in a lower price segment. VP Globe, with a diameter of 50 centimeters, is the first luminaire to be produced in the same year.
Panton table and party set
Shortly afterwards, Verpan was taken over and is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the Frandsen Group with Frandsen Lighting. The close and inspiring collaboration with the designer's widow, Marianne Panton, and her family has led to a steady expansion of Verpan's Verner Panton collection. In 2010, Verpan presented re-design objects from Verner Panton's furniture designs for the first time at the Interieur trade fair in Kortrijk, Belgium. With the 1-2-3 Chair, the Panton Table, the Multifunctional Boxes and the Party Set, Verpan is now expanding its range into the furniture sector. Fortunately, thanks to this new direction, the Barboy will also live on - albeit with far less elaborate production - as Vitra had discontinued production.
Quality and originality
A contemporary synthesis between quality and originality, the manufacturing maxim at Verpan, is reflected in every single product. Taking Verner Panton's philosophy into account plays a central role. As a sign of authenticity, every Panton object manufactured by VerPan bears the signature of its master. A beautiful idea for authentication and at the same time a homage to one of the most outstanding Designer of the second half of the 20th century.
Common engine

Thanks to effective brand work, Verpan's product range, which once began with a single luminaire, has grown steadily in recent years. Frandsen Lighting once produced the pendant light VP Globe for Verpan. After just one year, Frandsen Lighting bought Verpan and incorporated the brand into the parent company as a subsidiary.
